Aquasentry's Bund Water Control Unit serves as a de-watering system designed for areas where rainwater mixed with oil residues can accumulate. This innovative system operates by detecting the distinction between oil and water, then efficiently pumps out the water into the surface water drainage system or a designated soak away area. It achieves a remarkable water removal rate of 145 litres per minute, resulting in a discharge rate of less than 5mg of oil per litre (equivalent to 5 parts per million). This exceptional performance makes the Bund Water Control Unit both safe and highly effective for its intended purpose.
Using conductivity probes, the unit determines the liquid's composition within the sump and triggers the pump to initiate water removal. Once all water is eliminated and only oil remains, the pump automatically stops. This steel silt probe can be used with both the mains and solar-powered Darcy separator/interceptor alarm system. The probe comes with a 5m flylead and automatically monitors silt levels, notifying immediately when the separator requires emptying.
The alarm system and sensor guarantees an increased level of safety on site, and requires simple installation for bespoke monitoring of separators.
Too much silt in a separator tank reduces its storage capacity and therefore increases the risk of a pollution incident. The Darcy Silt Probe is simply suspended within the separator tank to a depth required to detect the maximum amount of silt allowed.
The Opto Switch Sensor consists of a gallium arsenide infra-red emitting diode coupled with a silicon photo darlington in a plastic housing. The packaging system is designed to optimise the mechanical resolution, coupling efficiency, ambient light rejection, cost and reliability. The gap in the housing provides a means of interrupting the signal with opaque materials such as sand, silt, mud, sludge etc, therefore switching the output from an “ON” to an “OFF” state.
